Profile

What it does

The Profile page is your account control panel. From here you can review the brokers you’re connected to, manage notification preferences (including the weekly newsletter), and create or revoke personal API keys.

When to use it

You want to subscribe to or unsubscribe from the weekly portfolio digest.
You want to change your password.
You want to generate an API key for personal automation.
You want a quick read of which brokers are currently connected.

How to use it

Review broker connections

The page lists each connected broker as an expandable card showing:

Account number / client code (as reported by the broker).
Equity value, margin, and fund balance, if the broker exposes them.
Connection expiry, if applicable.

To connect or disconnect a broker, click through to Brokers.

Notification preferences

Toggle email notifications on or off.
Subscribe to or unsubscribe from the weekly portfolio digest (the Closing Bell newsletter).

API keys

If you want to integrate the dashboard with your own scripts, you can issue a personal API key.

Click Generate API key.
Give it a name (so you remember what it’s for).
Copy the key immediately — it’s only shown once. After you close the dialog, the dashboard only shows a redacted version.
To revoke a key, click Revoke next to it. Any script using that key stops working immediately.

Change your password

Go to the Security section (or use Forgot password? from the login page if you can’t log in).
Enter your current password and a new one.
Save.

Tips & gotchas

API keys are secrets. Don’t paste them into chat tools, screenshots, or repos. Revoke immediately if a key is exposed.
You can have multiple API keys — one per script or device makes revocation safer.
Newsletter subscription respects unsubscribe links. Clicking unsubscribe in any email opt-out you out everywhere; you can re-subscribe here.
