Smallcases
What it does
A smallcase is a themed basket of stocks and/or ETFs — for example, “long-term compounders,” “EV supply chain,” or “high dividend yield.” The Smallcases section lets you:
- Browse ready-made smallcases curated inside the dashboard.
- Create your own custom basket.
- Track the smallcases you’ve invested in alongside your other holdings.
When to use it
- You want exposure to a theme without picking individual stocks one by one.
- You’d rather invest in a fixed basket than chase rotation.
- You want to package your own conviction list as a reusable basket.

Tips & gotchas
- Weights drift over time. Rebalance periodically — what started as a 5% position can become 12% after a run.
- Past returns aren’t future returns. The 1-year return number is descriptive, not predictive.
- Theme rotation is real. Single-theme smallcases can underperform for long stretches when the theme is out of favour.
- For broader rebalancing, use Restructuring — that takes your full portfolio into account, not just one basket.
