Job scheduler
What it does
A few features in the dashboard run as background jobs — for example, a screener report, a stock evaluation, or an earnings PDF analysis. The Job scheduler is where you see the live status and history of those jobs in one place.
When to use it
- You kicked off a long-running analysis and want to know whether it’s done.
- A job appeared to fail and you want to retry it.
- You want a record of analyses you’ve run.
How to use it
- Open Jobs from the sidebar.
- Two tabs are available:
- Jobs — current and recent jobs, with status and type.
- Past results — historical outcomes you can re-open.
- Each row shows a status badge:
- Pending — queued, not yet running.
- Running — in progress.
- Completed — finished, click to open the result.
- Failed — something went wrong; you can retry.
- Cancelled — you stopped it.
- Use the filters at the top to narrow by status or type.
- Click a row to open the result, retry, or cancel a still-running job.
Tips & gotchas
- You don’t need to stay on this page. Jobs run in the background. Come back when you want to check on them, or just open the feature page that started the job (e.g., Screener → History).
- Failed jobs usually mean missing data for that ticker or PDF. Retry, or pick a different input.
- Cancelling is final. A cancelled job won’t resume — start a new one if you change your mind.
